Mr. Peet used to recommend it as a “starter coffee” to get customers acclimated before introducing them to new flavors. The bright balanced taste and medium body of Peet’s Coffee House Blend Dark Roast make it an inviting introduction to Peet’s signature style. Deep-roasted by hand in small batches to impart the most flavor and aroma House Blend is a perennial favorite of Peet’s customers. K-Cups offer an easy way to make a quick single-serving of this delicious brew.

We’ve spent five years perfecting Peet’s K-Cup Packs, to meet our exacting standards and more importantly the standards of our customers. We started with the same premium Peet’s coffee you love; use a better coffee, get a better cup. We chose to use more coffee than most, but hardly indiscriminately. We’ve designed a specific dose (to the tenth of a gram) for each specific blend and a grind parameter that we measure to the micron.
We also deployed a mesh-like filter that allows more oils and flavors to pass into the cup. All these tiny details make a gigantic difference, especially in a method that must extract in under a minute.
It’s the same House Blend you love, roasted by the same roasters, and treated with the same craft and care as the rest of our coffees.

First crafted by Mr. Peet, this blend of carefully selected, choice beans from our favorite Latin American origins brews a quality cup that’s uniquely rich and approachable, with a pleasant spiciness. It is deep-roasted by hand in small batches to impart the most flavor and aroma. And like all our coffees, it’s delivered unimaginably fresh.
The bright, balanced flavors and medium body make House Blend so inviting and easy to love, Mr. Peet used to call it a “starter coffee.” He would recommend it to get customers acclimated before introducing them to a range of flavors. But we think he may have underestimated himself; more than four decades later, Peetniks everywhere are still at home with House.
