OUR STORY
On a trip to the United States almost 30 years ago, our founding tea master was pleasantly surprised to see so many people drinking iced tea. His delight, however turned to disappointment, when he saw the poor quality of tea and amount of added sugar thought to be needed in tea.

Determined there was a better way, he sought to create a refreshingly delicious tea with a boldly smooth taste that didn’t need any sweeteners. In other words, he set out to make a tea that tasted like real tea. After traveling the world tasting many tea varieties, he selected a black tea from the Indonesian island of Java, and thus Tejava, “Tea from Java” was born.
